I knew that a tour that combined food AND my favorite Caribbean island couldn't disappoint me. But this experience far exceeded my expectations. I'm not big on history, so I originally thought that the time between the food stops wouldn't interest me. The tour guide delivered the information in such a casual, interesting way that I never felt bored. I actually enjoyed learning about the island's rich history just as much as I loved eating and drinking my way through the tour! My favorite stop: E's Garden Tea House. We'll definitely be back.

Gerard Sperry

Gerard has lived on St. Thomas for more than a decade. Prior to making St. Thomas his home, he was a regular visitor chartering sailboats for weeks at a time to escape Boston winters, where he made a career of radio management, publishing and marketing. Here in paradise, he has helped with the launch of National Public Radio, volunteers as photographer for the St. Thomas Humane Society, and enjoys cooking and sailing around the islands.

"I loved this food tour! Our guide, Gerard, was friendly and had so many interesting facts about the history of St. Thomas and their food. I liked all of the places we stopped, and even went back to one of them for lunch another day when we were in the area. We did this tour pretty early on in our vacation, which was great because we got familiar with downtown Charlotte, and Gerard made some great suggestions on other things to do and see. Highly recommend if you are a foodie like me, or someone who appreciates learning more about the history and culture of the places you visit."

Jane DiCola

Jane has lived on St. Thomas for 33 years.  She LOVES the island and is always excited to share some of the off-the-beaten-path places, people and stories.  "We are so much more than our fabulous beaches, tropical climate and excellent duty free shopping!" she says.  "Our diverse Caribbean population makes this a culturally and historically rich place to live, and to visit again and again."

"Jane was awesome, intelligent, knowledgeable and had great energy. We had our teens along and couldn’t have asked for a better time or experience. We met local business owners, had incredible food, and learned amazing things about STT. She patiently answered our (my) questions and gave a true “vibe” to the meaning of this beautiful territory which the U.S acquired. Do not look at any other tours - book this today. The early tour is guaranteed to give you a better, more private time - because nobody gets up at 8 to walk around an island. Thank you - Jane!!! Arno, Violet, and the kids. You know you’re awesome when two teens loved you."

"Jennie was amazing.  She instantly made us feel welcome and excited to explore the culinary treats of the island. She gave so many interesting tidbits about the history of the island as well as places we visited to sample food. We loved the tea room and enjoyed the conversation with the owner very much. Her salt fish quiche and bush tea were delicious. We are not even tea drinkers but ended up buying tea to take home so good. We loved the bakery my brothers workshop the concept behind the Non profit was great to learn about and such a wonderful concept to educate the youth. Great experience highlight of my visit to st Thomas."
