Gerard has lived on St. Thomas for more than a decade. Prior to making St. Thomas his home, he was a regular visitor chartering sailboats for weeks at a time to escape Boston winters, where he made a career of radio management, publishing and marketing. Here in paradise, he has helped with the launch of National Public Radio, volunteers as photographer for the St. Thomas Humane Society, enjoys cooking and sails the islands.
‘The history of the Territory is rich with fascinating stories of bravery and determination. From the pre-Colombian days of the Arawaks and the European settlements, to overcoming pirates, slavery and hurricanes, the story of the Virgin Islands pairs well with great local food and a pleasant stroll.”
