Friday Feature: Frenchtown Brewing Company

It’s summertime and things are heating up on St. Thomas. So what better way to cool down than with a refreshing glass of local beer? Wondering where to get your fix? Check out Frenchtown Brewing Company!

This St. Thomas favorite opened up back in 2015 as a small batch, tap-only brewery. Located in the heart of St. Thomas’ vibrant Frenchtown, it is the best place for craft brews on the island. Founder and brewer Kevin Brown is a former home brewer who went on what can only be described as a beer pilgrimage to Belgium, where he tasted his way through all 507 Belgian beers. Impressive. He brought his newfound knowledge back to St. Thomas and created one of the island’s most exciting craft breweries.

Frenchtown Brewing currently produces two highly acclaimed house beers, the Hop Alley IPA (7.2% ABV) and Frenchie Farmhouse Saison (6.8% ABV) and also makes seasonal brews. Both beers are ultra food-friendly and perfect for washing down some of our delicious local fare. Beer hounds can stop by for a fascinating tour of the facilities and sample the awesome beer selections. The best part? You can take some beer to go in a stainless steel Frenchtown growler (that’s a jug used for beer) and hit the beach! You can also find these brews on tap at local restaurant hotspots. What’s not to love?
